Commondove is an app for photos collaboration in college photo albums. And, also helps youth to connect with the social causes of their choice through photos collaboration of social organizations.
Q. What is photos collaboration?
Any user can add suitable photos in any album on any college page or social organization page, so that album with photos of the same context get collected in one album, that’s why it is a work of collaboration. Also, Any user can create an album on any college page or social organization page. All these created albums and uploaded photos require approval of representatives.

Q. What is a social organization?
Any organization working for a social cause, or development of society in any manner(not necessarily non-profit organizations, not necessarily non-government organisation).
Q. What is the use of uploading photos or creating albums here on commondove?
Each uploaded photo anywhere on the app adds up to the total activity on the network which helps in keeping the users of the app interested, thus helping us to connect youth to social causes which require their support.
Q. Who can use the commondove app?
Any individual can use the app and there can be four kinds of users on the app:
College Youth : student of any college
Pre-college: Student who is about to enter college in near future(here for exploring colleges)
College Alumni: Former college student
None of these: user who do not fall in any of the above three categories (mainly to use the app only for social organizations)
Q. Reporting, suggestions, complaints, queries, or any other reason
Users can contact us for any of the reasons such as reporting, suggestions, complaints, queries, or any other reason using the contact option in the top left icon menu on the app or the contact option on the website commondove.com
Q. How do search options of the app work?
There are four different searches:
Profile Search on Profile tab for searching any user profile/profiles on the app, using the name of the user and also using college name or region of the users profile/profiles.
College Search on College tab for searching any college page. Also, colleges can be searched or browsed region-wise.
Social Search on Social tab for searching any social organization. Also, Social organizations can be searched or browsed region-wise also.
Message Search on Messages tab for searching any chat in the chat list using the name of the other user with whom messages were exchanged.
Q. Photo ratings
Every photo on the app can be rated by any user on the app, and every photo has a ratings bar on which ratings is shown. Ratings are calculated using the average of the individual ratings given to the photo by users who have chosen to rate it, based on their personal views on likeability of the photo.
Q. Photo captions
Every photo on the app can have a caption to describe the photo. For a particular photo, only the user who has posted the photo can add or edit it's caption. Caption can be edited from the profile posts.
Q. What is the feeds tab?
Feeds tab is the first tab in the bottom tabs. It contains activity feeds from different entities, there are three different entities and there are three parts of the feeds tab for each one of these three entities, namely: ‘User’ part of the feed contains activity of all the other users followed by the user, ‘College’ part contains activity from user's own college (or the college selected by the user for his college tab) as well as colleges followed by the user, and ‘Social’ part contains activity from all the social organizations followed by the user.
Q. What is user feed?
User feed contains all the posts of the other users who the user have followed using the follow button on the profile pages of other users.
Q. What is college feed?
College feed contains all the activity of user’s own college, and also the colleges followed by the user using follow button on the other college pages.
Q. What is social feed?
Social feed contains all the activity of the social organizations that the user has followed using the follow button on the social organizations’ pages.
Q. Feeds at the time of new user login?
When a new user logs in or when a user hasn't followed any user/college/social org., all the three feeds viz. User, College, and Social feed contain the top posts/activity from the complete pool of users activity, college activity, social activity.
Q. What is the Profile Tab?
User Profile, along with basic information of the user (name, photo, college, college batch, Region, and social organizations with which user has associated), contains all the past activity of the user on any college page as well as in any social organizations in the most recent order. User profile has the same visibility as to all the users including the user whose profile is on display.
Q. Utility of profile on the app
As all the activity of a user in his/her college and social organizations gets listed on the profile page, it can be used to assess a user’s academics, participation and interest in events and activities of college and also user’s participation and interaction with social organizations.
Especially, In case of College students, profile page would become sort of a detailed dynamic resume which would be used during their placements as well.
Q. Follow button on a user’s profile
To be used for following that user profile to keep track of that user's activity using the user part of the Feeds tab.
Q. Message button on a user’s profile
To be used for contacting a user for the first time and even later on. You can always look into past messages using the messages tab.
Q. What is the tag/symbol on the profile picture of some of the users?
Profiles having a tag on the profile picture are the users who are representatives of some college or social organization.
Q. What is the College Tab?
College tab is to connect with colleges and their activities. It contains College page, of the college as entered by the user in his/her own user profile. User can change the college entry on his profile anytime, and accordingly college tab would change. College tab also contains college search and region-wise college browsing features.

College Page(along with the college name, cover photo, region) contains activity of college in most recent order. Activity is in the form of Photo Albums containing photos. These photo albums can be created by any user and photos can be uploaded by any user in any album created.

To contact College representatives for any purpose, message button contains the list of college representatives. This list also contains the option to apply for becoming a college representative. Any user can apply for becoming a college representative.

Follow button is to be used for following that college page to keep track of that college’s activity using the college part of the Feeds tab.
Q. How to add new colleges on the app / Unable to find college page on commondove?
If you searched and didn’t find your college page, you can write to us through the contact option in the top left icon menu or directly from the “can’t find your college” option in the drop-down menu when you performed the search. Commondove will look into the request and see if you searched wrongly or a new college page is to be created and would do the needful.
Q. How to become a college representative?
In the message button on the college page, you can look for the option of “be a representative” and apply using this option. Before submitting your application, you can also read the gains and responsibilities mentioned there.
Q. What is the use/benefit of working as a college representative?
Improve on your Communication, leadership and management skills - It is like an internship requiring various skills to be used by the college representative and you can massively improve on these skills which would help in your career prospects. Users would be contacting you and interacting with you, you would be guiding them to make good use of the app.
Support Social Causes - Even when you are not working directly for any social cause, you would still be playing a very important role in bringing users closer to the various social causes.
Popularity/Authority: You will be able to make a popular name for yourself in college as you are the incharge of the college profile and your permissions would be necessary to publish photos in the college albums. And you surely would want to have some authority/be popular in college, right!
Tag on the App: Your profile will have the tag of certification that you are the college representative and it will remain even after your tenure in college, as college representative. Your profile would always be on display with the testimonial of the management work you will do/did in college.
Certification: Your internship will be certified and that would prove to be an added asset to your resume.
Q. What is the Social tab?
Social tab is to connect with various social organizations. Social tab contains list of social organizations which the user is following, social search to search any social organization by name or region, region-wise browsing option, and social organizations in categorised form based on the concept of Eight Point Education(based on the varied work area of the social organizations).

Social Page(along with the name of the social organization, cover photo, region, description) contains activity of social organization in most recent order. Activity is in the form of Photo Albums containing photos. These photo albums can be created by any user and photos can be uploaded by any user in any album created.

To contact social representatives of a particular social organization for any purpose, message button contains the list of social representatives of that organisation. Q. What is the message tab?
Message tab contains list of the chats that the user have had. To initiate a new chat with any other user, the user will have to go to that user's profile using purifier search on the Profile Tab. Message tab also contains Message Search to search for any chats using name of the other user.
8PE is also the categorization of social organization of all kinds into 8 sub-categories. You can view them on the Commondove app.
Q. What are #CD Inputs?
On the commondove app, you can find “#CD INPUTS” sub-category in each one of the 8PE categories on the Social Tab.
#CD-INPUTS are sub-categories on the commondove app containing valuable information and insights related to the particular 8PE category.
About The Organization
Q. What is Commondove, the organisation?
Commondove is a not-for-profit non-government organization working for innovative solutions to bring different social causes closer to the youth. Currently, Commondove’s first venture is this social networking app named Commondove it is meant to connect various colleges, college students with all kinds of social causes.
Q. What is the mission and method of Commondove?
To bring together and connect youth to work for various social causes, but of their own choice out of the pool of all social causes.
To work for education and rediscover the meaning of education which must include all the aspects required to call education, complete and quality education. As only quality and complete form of education can create individuals capable of transforming society and gradually bring about change in society and take it towards development.

Q. Title advertisements
Title advertisement uses the space allocated above the cover photo of every college page and every Social organization as well. Title advertising is unique for each off these college and social organization page. So, the advertiser can choose the pages on which they want their advertisements.
Q. Feeds advertisements
Advertisements which appear like posts in between activity posts in feeds lists on the Feeds Tab. Advertiser can choose region specific audience for their advert to display.

Advertisements through messages in the message tab. Advertiser can choose region specific audience for their advert to display.
Q. Poets' Camp Online Competition Rules and Regulations
Welcome to this one of a kind online poetry camp where budding poets are meeting online to appreciate each other’s creations and celebrate what they have in common, and also cherish a healthy competition.
How to participate:
Submit your entry by uploading a typed copy(in image form) of your creation in the “Poets’ Camp” album on your college page in the Commondove Android app with your name and title of the poem in the Commondove app.
Inform your college CR/or use the “contact us” option in the Commondove app report that you have submitted your entry and get confirmation from us.
Don’t forget to tell as many of your friends to rate your poem on the Commondove app.
Each participant will be eligible for receiving a participation certificate.
Winners: 1st Prize: Rs. 1500, 2nd Prize: Rs. 1000, 3rd Prize: Rs. 500 and winners’ certificates.
Winners announcement as well as your poem gets published with your name on it, on Commondove social media platforms: Facebook-instagram-youtube-pinterest and so on, and Commondove website too.
Terms/Rules and Regulations:
Poems must be the entrant’s original work.
Competition is open to all college students from all colleges in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh region. (See the Commondove app, if your college is having a page on the Commondove app.)
Entries must not have been published, self-published, published on a website, broadcast or featured among the winners in another competition before 31 October 2018.
Languages allowed : Hindi/English
Last Date of participation/last date of submission: 15 December 2018
One participant can submit only one entry, if a participant submits more than that he/she would be disqualified.
All poems must have a title and must not exceed 40 lines in length (excluding title). Entries can be on any subject.
To participate, there is only one route and that is through the “poets camp” album on your college page on Commondove App.
Under no circumstances can alterations be made to poems once entered.
Rating process/How winners will be decided: Each participant will get to vote 3 poems out of the list of total entries, the participant with maximum votes would win.
Images with handwritten entries cannot be accepted. First type your creation and then convert it into a single/multiple images and then upload these images.
In caption, do mention, “Name:”, and “Title of the Poem:”
The participation is absolutely free of cost for all participants.
Prizewinners will be notified by the end of December 2018. All winners will be expected to provide a biography and photograph.
