India is facing a new problem nowadays i.e ILLEGAL PARKING.
There is no definite rule and regulation system, so people do illegal parking outside showrooms, shopping malls, educational institutions, hospitals and other commercial establishments which is becoming worse situations for citizen. In the absence of any surveillance, the city residents have developed a tendency to park their vehicles on the streets. Most of the vehicles are parked alongside the roads, thereby reducing the operational area of the road considerably. This causes traffic congestion, time loss, accidents and inconvenience to tourists. Due to this irresponsible behaviour of the drivers the normal traffic flow gets disturbed due to the illegal parking of vehicles.
Following are the various violations related to parking:
1) Obstruction of traffic (Parking obstructing movement of vehicles on road)
2) Obstruction of pedestrian movement (Parking in pavements)
3) Parking in No-parking area/zone (Parking in areas prevented)
4) Wrongful parking (Parking in a wrongful manner, Angular parking in Parallel parking areas)
As a result, the cities in India are highly congested and on top of that the parked cars claim a lot of space that could otherwise be used in a better way.
So, the traffic control authorities along with people must start acting responsibly to cure this menace which we have created and put upon ourselves.
